The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje presented a formal proposal today to the preliminary investigation judge at the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje. The proposal concerns the determination of necessary precautionary measures against three individuals who are accused of assaulting a child born in 2011. The alleged incident occurred at a park located in the Maxhalla area.
According to the preliminary findings presented by the prosecutors, the suspects are accused of participating in violent acts against the minor on April 22. The allegations detail that the individuals struck the child using stones and sticks, and further inflicted cuts on the child’s body using a knife. As part of their legal proceedings in Skopje, the prosecution has petitioned the court to impose specific protective measures against the suspects.
These proposed precautionary actions include several stipulations designed to manage the suspects’ freedom and movements. The proposed measures encompass potential arrest for the purpose of removing the individuals from their place of residence or dwelling. Additionally, the proposal mandates an obligation for the suspects to appear periodically before a designated official or competent state body.
Further suggested restrictions include the temporary seizure of a travel document or other necessary document required for crossing state borders, alongside other specified forms of arrest. The court must now review these submissions to determine the appropriate legal steps moving forward.
