Members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) recently completed specialized diving training in the Republic of Albania, an exercise framed within the context of bilateral cooperation between the two nations’ security forces. The KSF’s International Center for Search and Rescue Training organized the “Refresher Dive” program at the National Center for Divers of the Albanian Armed Forces, located in Pashaliman, Vlorë. The primary objective of this intensive training was to enhance and update the professional expertise of KSF personnel in underwater operations.
The curriculum emphasized modern diving techniques, critical underwater safety protocols, and comprehensive planning for executing complex diving missions. Participants engaged in rigorous sessions covering buoyancy control, adherence to the “buddy” system, and the development of instructional capabilities. This structured program allowed KSF members to refresh their skills while adopting best practices taught by Albanian counterparts.
The cooperation underscores a commitment to improving search and rescue capabilities through shared knowledge and practical experience. By participating in this joint training, the KSF reinforces its operational readiness and enhances its capacity to conduct specialized underwater rescue tasks, benefiting from international collaboration.
