Berisha stated that Rama cannot close the “Balluku” case in Parliament.

Sali Berisha, the head of the Democratic Party, issued a video response to Prime Minister Edi Rama’s recent remarks, alleging he is protecting Belinda Balluku at all costs. Berisha asserted that “the Balluku case is Rama’s case,” insisting it cannot be resolved until he ceases to hold power. He highlighted the growing international implications of the situation, stating Rama’s parliament is incapable of closing it.

The former leader further criticized the government’s project to move the Durrës Port to Porto Romano. He also voiced concerns regarding the elevated cost of oil in Albania, drawing comparisons to prices in Kosovo and North Macedonia. Berisha labeled this high cost as simply “Rama’s price.”

Specifically, he argued that the planned port at Porto Romano is significantly overvalued, estimating costs at least four to eight times higher than projected.

Berisha’s comments underscore his continued opposition to the current administration and the handling of key issues, particularly concerning the Balluku case and its ramifications for rama’s leadership. The ongoing investigation into the Balluku case remains a central point of contention.
