The Creative Hub is launching an AI Lab dedicated to supporting businesses within the manufacturing, textile, fashion, and furniture sectors in Kosovo. This initiative aims to modernize operational processes by addressing inefficiencies that currently hinder growth. The program receives 50% co-financing from the GROW project, which is funded by USAID and implemented by Swisscontact.
The AI Lab targets common operational bottlenecks experienced by businesses in Kosovo, which often struggle not with market demand or product quality, but with outdated administrative workflows. Many local companies find themselves spending significant resources on manual processes, such as sending quotations via WhatsApp, managing incoming calls from wholesale and retail buyers, and handling orders using paper or spreadsheets. According to organizers, relying on these manual systems is becoming a significant financial drain, particularly as businesses plan for the future.
The need for digital transformation is highlighted by the realization that outdated methods are not merely inconvenient, but represent a direct loss of revenue and customer relationships. The Creative Hub aims to equip these sectors with AI-driven solutions to streamline these functions. By automating tasks such as quoting and order management, the initiative seeks to help businesses reduce reliance on extensive administrative staffing or costly manual labor, thereby improving overall efficiency and competitiveness within the local economy.
