Kosovo and Albania are reported to be among five nations that have pledged military support for the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, according to a Reuters report. Despite the ongoing stagnation of a comprehensive peace plan for Gaza, the United States has committed significant financial backing to support the proposed international force. Documentation obtained by Reuters from the U.S.
Department of State indicates that the allocated funding exceeds $206 million. Of this total, approximately $200 million is designated for essential operational expenses, covering equipment, infrastructure development, and vehicles necessary for the International Stabilization Force. An additional $6.3 million has been specifically earmarked for the adaptation of nine American armored vehicles intended for use in the mission.
The five countries that have confirmed their readiness to contribute troops to the effort include Kosovo, Albania, Indonesia, Morocco, and Kazakhstan. This commitment of international military assets and substantial funding suggests continued international involvement in the region, even as diplomatic efforts to establish a lasting peace remain at an impasse. The allocation of these substantial funds, totaling over $200 million, underscores the logistical and material support anticipated for the force operating in Gaza.
