A 47-year-old woman from Tetovo was deceived, paying an advance for furniture that never arrived at her home.

A 47-year-old woman residing in the Tetovo region has filed a police report concerning a fraud. She claims to have lost 550 euros due to an individual posing as a furniture company representative. On March 16th, at 13:00, she reported the incident to the Tetovo Police Department.

The report detailed that during February, she connected with S.S., originating from the Haraçinë village of Skopje, via a social network. He advised her to purchase furniture. Following a meeting, the woman provided the individual with the money as an initial deposit.

However, the furniture was never delivered, and S.S. subsequently disappeared, becoming untraceable through phone calls. Police are currently implementing measures to investigate the circumstances surrounding this case thoroughly.

They are working to ascertain the full details and identify the person involved. The investigation is focused on clarifying the situation and ensuring accountability. This incident highlights the importance of caution when engaging in online transactions, particularly when dealing with unfamiliar sources offering furniture.

The authorities are committed to resolving this matter within North Macedonia.
