A shocking figure, approximately 30 people have died in the streets of Kosovo over the past three months.

Tragically, three individuals died in road accidents across Kosovo within a short period, including three pedestrians. Traffic authorities cite negligence as a primary factor contributing to these devastating events. Approximately thirty people have perished on roadways during the initial three months of this year alone.

The victims were discovered in the emergency lane and near a police vehicle before ultimately succumbing to fatal injuries. On Monday evening, a 27-year-old man died following a collision with a car on the Vushtri-Prishtina highway, specifically in the Nadakovc village. The driver suspected of causing the fatal accident has already been ordered to serve a one-month imprisonment.

Similarly, that same night in Prizren, a 29-year-old man died after a collision with a motorcycle. A day prior to this incident, another pedestrian was fatally struck in the municipality due to the driver’s fault. These incidents underscore the urgent need for increased safety measures and driver responsibility.
