Among two thousand scientists, the Kosovan woman stands out as the best – Pranvera Hyseni receives the main prize at the largest planetary science conference.

In Houston, Texas, the renowned ‘Lunar and Planetary Science Conference,’ a global hub for science, showcased a rising star this year. Kosovo’s Pranvera hyseni participated for the third time at the prestigious event, attracting over 2000 researchers worldwide. The conference provided a platform for presenting cutting-edge research.

Hyseni had the opportunity to deliver her scientific work directly on stage. Her greatest satisfaction stemmed not solely from the presentation of her study, but from representing the Republic of Kosovo. “For me, the biggest pride isn’t to simply go on stage and discuss the asteroid,” hyseni explained in a video shared on TikTok.

She emphasized the significance of showcasing Kosovo’s capabilities to NASA. “Even we in Kosovo can demonstrate our expertise in astronomy,” she stated. This participation highlighted the growing contributions of researchers from the region to the global science community.

The conference underscored the importance of international collaboration within the field of planetary science.
