A suspected Iranian drone caused a significant incident in Dubai, resulting in a fire and subsequent evacuation of a large residential building. Officials confirmed the event occurred on Wednesday, when a drone reportedly “fell” onto a structure within the Dubai Port area. The Dubai media office stated that the building was immediately evacuated following the drone strike.
Subsequently, images circulating on social media depicted a substantial portion of a ceiling ablaze across multiple floors of the building. Notably, the damage was considerable, indicating significant structural harm. Footage, reminiscent of the American attack on Iranian military aircraft, identified the building as Address Creek Harbour 2, a component of the Address Port development undertaken by Emaar Properties.
Construction of the building commenced in June 2017 and finished in April 2023. This incident is part of a continuing series of Iranian missile and drone strikes. Remarkably, no injuries were reported as a result of the drone attack on the building in Dubai.
