Basha stated that Kurti appointed Osman as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Dimal Basha, revealed that Prime Minister Albin Kurti extended an offer to President Vjosa Osmani for a position within the government. Speaking on Debat Plus with TV Dukagjini, Basha explained that Kurti suggested Osmani assume the role of Kosovo’s First Deputy Prime Minister, concurrently leading the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Presidency’s constitutional provisions address the Osmani proposal.

Basha clarified that these minor differences stemmed from the collaborative relationship with all parties involved. He stated that Kurti emphasized Osmani’s suitability as a unifying figure to resolve the ongoing crisis. Specifically, Kurti proposed she become Kosovo’s First Deputy Prime Minister and also be entrusted with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Given Osmani’s engagement in foreign policy, a key area of focus, this arrangement was deemed appropriate. The Prime Minister’s intention was to leverage her expertise within this domain.
