Four individuals have been apprehended in Pristina following a police operation concerning the issuance of driver’s licenses. This development was confirmed by the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecution in Pristina, Zejnullah Gashi, who offered a concise statement. “Four people were arrested for driver’s licenses,” Gashi stated.
The Basic State Prosecution in Pristina, Department for Serious Crimes, Economic and Corruption Crime Unit issued a subsequent announcement detailing the events. On March 23, 2026, at the direction of the State Prosecutor, four suspects were taken into custody for a period of 48 hours. One of the detained individuals is I.M., affiliated with the “A……..” driving school, apprehended due to reasonable suspicion of engaging in the criminal act of “Bribery” as outlined in Article 421 of the Criminal Code.
Furthermore, two other suspects, A.B. and Z.B., both associated with the “I…………..” driving school, were also detained based on similar suspicions. This operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat corruption within the licensing process in Pristina.
