Frightening scenes emerged from Lviv, a Russian drone collided with a building during daylight hours.

A Russian drone caused injuries after striking a building in the historic center of Lviv, western Ukraine. The assault, a rare occurrence, involved over 400 drones directed at Ukraine, as reported by Telegrafi. Images and video footage are spreading across social media, including a recording of the building’s impact.

Another visual shows the resulting flames erupting from the structure immediately after the strike. The regional governor confirmed that a UNESCO World Heritage site has been damaged in the incident. Two individuals have also sustained injuries as a result of the attack.

Emergency services were swiftly dispatched to the scene to address the situation. Lviv, situated hundreds of miles west of Ukraine’s main battlefronts and many tens of miles from the Polish border, experienced this unexpected attack. Mayor Andriy Sadovyi emphasized the rapid response of local authorities.

The incident highlights the continued threat posed by Russian forces, even in areas distant from the immediate conflict zone. The damage to the building underscores the vulnerability of civilian infrastructure.
