The Kosovo Police have addressed the serious incident following the murder in Gjakovë, announcing the suspect’s voluntary surrender at a police station. Gazeta Express reported this development on March 17, 2026, at 9:10 AM. Nexhdet Zymberaj, the individual suspected of involvement in the Gjakovë murder, presented himself to authorities.
According to the official statement, he also deposited a revolver at the station. Investigators believe this firearm was utilized in the attack. A 38-year-old man died as a result of the firearm assault that occurred yesterday.
