If LVV were not in power, the north would still be under Radoiçi’s control.

Adnan Rrustemi, representing Vetëvendosje, voiced his perspective on TV Dukagjini, asserting that the current circumstances in the north would have persisted under Radoiçi and characterized by barricades had VV not held governmental power. He squarely placed responsibility for the existing state of affairs on the PDK. Rrustemi argued that until 2023, 2024, the north of Kosovo remained effectively under the control of Serbian parallel structures.

He attributed this prolonged situation to the PDK’s tenure. “Why was the north under control by Serbian parallel structures for so long, when Mr. Kurti subsequently dismantled it?” he questioned.

He emphasized the PDK’s prolonged period of governance, stating they had been in power for twenty years. “They were for twenty years, while the situation was… for twenty years in various ways,” he declared. Rrustemi further insisted that even if the PDK were still in control today, parallel structures would continue to operate within the north.

This assertion highlighted a consistent concern regarding the enduring influence within the region.
