It is expected that 119 Macedonian citizens will return home tonight from the Middle East.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has successfully arranged a third evacuation flight originating from the United Arab Emirates. This flight also marks the fifth organized operation to repatriate Macedonian citizens from nations impacted by the Middle East crisis. The aircraft is expected to arrive at Skopje International Airport later this evening.

Prior to this, previous evacuation flights have taken place, departing from Sharm El-Sheikh and Riyadh. Notably, the Riyadh flight originated from Dubai. To date, a total of 147 individuals have been safely transported, comprising 119 Macedonian citizens and 28 foreign nationals.

This latest flight significantly contributes to the ongoing efforts. With today’s operation, the overall number of evacuated Macedonian citizens will rise to 605. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commercial Affairs consistently prioritizes the safety and well-being of all Macedonian citizens.

The Ministry continues to work diligently to ensure the secure return of these individuals. Their efforts demonstrate a steadfast commitment to supporting and protecting Macedonian citizens abroad.
