Venko Filipçe, the leader of LSDM, delivered strong condemnation of the current Government’s actions, asserting a lack of support for citizens. He argued that existing measures, such as the reduction in Value Added Tax on fuel, have failed to generate tangible positive outcomes. Filipçe insisted that the Government should adopt the proposed measures outlined by LSDM.
These measures include a 0% VAT on fuel and essential consumer goods, alongside a decrease in excise duties and road payments. Filipçe firmly believed this would translate into demonstrable price reductions and provide significant advantages for both citizens and businesses. He emphasized the need for targeted support.
Specifically, he requested concrete measures designed for vulnerable populations, encompassing low-income families, pensioners, and individuals with special needs. The LSDM leader highlighted the proposed VAT reduction on basic food products, stating it would be lowered to 0%, and a 4 denar reduction in excise duties. He predicted a genuine decrease in fuel prices as a direct consequence of these actions.
The LSDM’s proposals represent a critical response to the current situation, demanding immediate action from the government.
