The Vetëvendosje movement commenced its campaign for the upcoming Kosovo Assembly elections on May 28, 2026, with the polls set for June 7, 2026. During a rally held in Ferizaj, the party’s candidate for Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, outlined plans for significant economic and industrial transformation within Kosovo. Kurti announced a commitment to allocating substantial funding across key sectors.

Specifically, he proposed dedicating 1 billion euros towards the productive sector and another 1 billion euros for the Kosovo army. Speaking at the event, Kurti urged voters to support their platform to initiate what he termed the largest economic and industrial transformation in the country’s history. His proposed agenda included strategic investments in the Trepça area, the development of four new railway lines, and the renovation or construction of 20 stadiums.

Furthermore, Kurti pledged a minimum of 1 billion euros in annual capital expenditure. Looking ahead over the next four years, the plan further allocates 1 billion euros for the army and 1 billion euros for the productive sector, aiming to revitalize Kosovo’s infrastructure and economy.
