Mickoski stated that the government is not considering the constitution’s opening, and political conditions have not been met.

The government is not reviewing the constitution’s opening, as the political conditions are not met, stated Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, according to Telegrafi Macedonia. Responding to questions from journalists at the roundtable, Mickoski addressed the query, “Will we file a constitutional lawsuit?”

He explained that the Constitutional Court may already be examining the specific law’s architecture. Mickoski expressed his expectation that a ready document will soon be available.

As he noted, this would occur when the political conditions are met, and the document would then be approved. Mickoski’s presence at today’s roundtable is a strong message. He emphasized that the government is not pursuing this avenue at this time.

“We assume that the Constitutional Court is already examining how the specific law’s architecture will look,” Mickoski reiterated. He hoped that such a draft law could be presented soon, and he remained optimistic about the potential for a swift resolution once the necessary political circumstances are established. The Prime Minister’s comments underscored the government’s cautious approach and reliance on favorable conditions for proceeding.
