Missiles launched by Iraq targeting a U.S. base in Syria.

Two Iraqi security sources for Reuters confirmed that at least seven rockets were launched from the city of Rabi’a today, targeting a U.S. military base in northeastern Syria. This represents the initial attack of its kind since the commencement of the combined U.S.-Israeli military operation aimed at Iran.

A rocket launching platform, situated on a burning truck, was taken control of within the Rabi’a neighborhood, located west of Mosul. Investigators believe this platform was directly responsible for firing the seven rockets at the Rmeilan base in Syria. The conflict is expected to persist, according to a senior advisor to the Supreme Leader, until Iran secures appropriate compensation.

Separately, the Syrian army reported an attack on one of its military bases in the northeastern city of Hasaka. Notably, the Syrian army’s statement did not mention the U.S. base or the precise location of American troops involved in the operation.

The incident highlights ongoing tensions and the continued escalation of military activity in the region, with rockets launched from Iraq towards military installations in Syria.
