More than 20,000 citizens left the country in just 12 hours for the Bayram holiday and the extended weekend.

Over twelve hours, a significant number of Macedonian citizens chose to celebrate the holiday overseas. According to data from MPB, a total of 20,000 Macedonian citizens made the decision to travel abroad. The Blaca border crossing was particularly busy, with 3,040 Macedonian citizens and 4,430 foreign nationals passing through.

Gorce Andreevski, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, reported that between yesterday at 12:00 pm and today at 12:00 pm, 1,979 Macedonian citizens entered the country, while 3,040 Macedonian citizens departed. Furthermore, 6,339 foreign nationals entered, and 4,430 foreign nationals exited. The Bogorodicë crossing also experienced high volumes.

7,945 Macedonian citizens entered, and 2,708 foreigners left the country. Andreevski confirmed that between 12:00 pm yesterday and today at 12:00 pm, 1,224 Macedonian citizens both entered and exited at this location. More Macedonian citizens than usual traveled during this period.
