NATO cannot confirm Israeli claims that Iran may be targeting Paris, Berlin, and London.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte appeared on CBS News’ Face The Nation program this morning. He directly addressed concerns raised by Israeli officials regarding Iranian missile capabilities. These officials had reported that Tehran possessed weaponry capable of targeting major European capitals, including Paris, Berlin, and London, as detailed in a Telegrafi article.

This statement followed a significant Iranian attack on the Diego Garcia military base on Friday evening. Although the operation failed to achieve its objectives, it nonetheless confirmed Iran’s existing missile range, a fact previously unacknowledged publicly. Consequently, Secretary Rutte stated, “We cannot confirm these israeli claims at this time.

We are examining it.”

Furthermore, the Treasury Secretary announced the United States’ continued efforts to bolster defenses within the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. intends to maintain this campaign until Iranian fortifications are entirely destroyed.

Rutte added that, if the israeli claims prove accurate, it would represent “further evidence” of past actions. NATO remains vigilant in assessing the evolving situation.
