Representatives of the team focused on clearing hazardous locations from explosive remnants delivered a presentation at the Norwegian People’s Aid Kosovo offices in Mitrovica. The discussion centered on the advancements observed during operations and the methods employed. Prior to a visit by a delegation from the Japanese embassy, the organization’s director, Claus Nielsen, detailed several accomplishments across multiple zones.

He confirmed that numerous tasks had been successfully finalized in various affected areas. Notably, nine specific locations still require thorough cleaning within the northern sector. Nielsen highlighted specific examples, stating that beneath Gračanica, within the police heritage zone, two operations were successfully concluded – one situated to the south and another to the north.

Furthermore, two tasks were completed in the Bajgorë region. As previously indicated, all work has been finished at this particular site. The team continues to concentrate its efforts on systematically addressing these contaminated areas.
