On March 24th, 2026 (24.03.2026), a focused operation was carried out by the Mobile Unit for Road Safety, part of the Sector for Transport Affairs, within the Skopje city area. The purpose of this inspection was to assess drivers and vehicles involved in passenger transport services. The Ministry of Interior issued a statement confirming the activity took place between 08:00 and 12:00.
During this period, several enforcement actions were implemented. Six measures were taken against drivers operating passenger transport without possessing the required medical certificate. Furthermore, four measures were implemented concerning technically damaged vehicles utilized for passenger transport.
A further four actions were taken in response to instances of exceeding passenger capacity limits. One measure addressed expired driver licenses, while another focused on inappropriate driver categorization. Finally, one measure was taken due to a failure to comply with regulations.
These actions were all implemented against the drivers and vehicles involved in passenger transport. The operation aimed to ensure safety standards were being met within the transport sector.
