Prime Minister Albin Kurti emphasized the critical need for seamless integration of Serbian education and healthcare into the Kosovan system, following a meeting with EU Special Envoy for Dialogue, Peter Sorensen. The News Express Gazeta reported this development on March 15, 2026, at 4:44 PM. Kurti stated that this integration would proceed “in close coordination” with Sorensen.

He underscored the government’s commitment to fully incorporating the healthcare and education systems within Kosovo’s legal framework. Specifically, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has repeatedly stressed the complete incorporation of the education and healthcare systems into municipalities with a Serbian majority. This process will be firmly established within the Republic of Kosovo’s legal framework.

This legalization represents a full legal implementation across the entire Republic of Kosovo. Furthermore, it’s anticipated to significantly improve the quality of these services and their financial stability. Kurti highlighted the importance of this advancement for all citizens.
