The action at ARBK due to “a change in business ownership,” the Ministry: A judgment was misinterpreted.

ARBK has taken action following a reported “business ownership change.” The Ministry of Industry, Trade, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MINTI) has issued a clarification regarding the situation at the Business Registration Agency. The Ministry explained that the action stemmed from investigations related to a business’s ownership change following the passing of its original owner. It was initially perceived as a misinterpretation of a judicial ruling.

MINTI stated that ARBK staff identified a misconstrued interpretation of a court decision made several months prior. This oversight has now been rectified through established legal and administrative processes. “We inform you that, after careful review of pertinent documents and judicial rulings, ARBK personnel recognized a misunderstanding of a previous court decision,” the ministry’s statement detailed.

“Consequently, this interpretation has been corrected through appropriate legal and administrative procedures.”

The Ministry emphasized that the action was a necessary step to ensure compliance and accurately reflect the circumstances surrounding the business’s change. This correction addresses the initial concern and reaffirms the proper handling of the situation.
