The Asset Declaration Authority reminds officials to declare their wealth; the deadline closes on March 31st.

The Anti-Corruption Agency (APK) is requesting that public officials who haven’t yet submitted their 2025 asset declarations do so by March 31, 2026. The annual declaration process commenced on March 1, 2026, and currently, 1920 officials, representing roughly 18.5% of those mandated to declare, have complied. A total of 10,340 officials are subject to this legal obligation, indicating that 8,420 individuals still need to fulfill their requirements.

APK Director Yll Buleshkaj highlighted the critical importance of meeting this deadline. “Timely asset declarations strengthen the culture of integrity within our institutions and simultaneously prevent the consequences and sanctions provided for in the event of non-compliance,” he stated. The agency emphasizes that these declarations are vital for transparency.

APK further notes that failure to declare their assets carries significant repercussions for officials. The agency continues to urge all required officials to submit their declarations promptly to ensure full compliance with the legal framework.
