The Tetovo municipal council formally approved the 2025 municipal account following a vote of 27 in favor, two against, and one abstention. This decision marks the culmination of reviewing the financial performance of the municipality for the preceding year. The approved account reveals a substantial increase of ten million euros within the budget, a key development for Mayor Bilall Kasami and his administration.
This significant rise has enabled the Tetovo municipality to shift its focus from traditional expenditure-based budgets to more strategic development budgets. Mayor Kasami emphasized the importance of revenue generation, specifically highlighting the near-complete collection of property tax. “Regarding the revenue sources, or property tax, we have achieved almost one hundred percent,” he explained.
“This demonstrates the municipality’s financial commitment to collecting its own revenues, and these measures have undoubtedly contributed to improvements in the lives of Tetovo’s citizens.”
Despite a strong implementation rate of over eighty percent, as noted by the mayor, the final account provides a comprehensive overview of the Tetovo municipality’s financial activities during the last fiscal year.
