The Strugas municipality has decided to postpone the planned auction of a municipal Audi A6 vehicle. Originally slated for March 16th, the public sale was intended to contribute to a crucial financial recovery. The funds raised from the vehicle’s sale were specifically earmarked for acquiring a van to serve local sports clubs and special needs centers.
This delay stems from ongoing efforts to address a significant debt inherited in 2016. The initial debt amounted to roughly 1.4 million denars. However, due to accumulated interest and calculations extending back to 2018, the total outstanding debt has risen to approximately three million denars.
Mayor Mendi Qura is actively engaged in discussions with all relevant parties to guarantee a resolution that prioritizes the needs of the community. The municipality emphasizes that this postponement is a necessary step within the broader debt recovery procedure. They are committed to ensuring a transparent and beneficial outcome for all citizens.
The successful completion of this process remains a key objective for the Strugas municipality.
