The resumption of work on “Qamil Hoxha” street has been approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation (MKRS). The municipality received confirmation from the Construction and Housing Monitoring Institute (IKMM).

The Prishtina Municipality has reactivated work on the “Qamil Hoxha” street following a year of delays. The construction project had been halted due to necessary permits requested from the Institute for the Protection of Monuments of Kosovo (IKMM). This was a consequence of the street’s placement within the designated protection zone of the Prishtina Historical Center.

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MKRS) underscored the critical need to adhere to regulations concerning cultural heritage throughout this process. A recent announcement confirms that the Prishtina Municipality has authorized the project for interventions on the “Qamil Hoxha” street in Prishtina. This resumption of work follows a year-long standstill, primarily prompted by the Ministry’s emphasis on ensuring full compliance with the legal framework.

The project is now proceeding “in full compliance with the legal basis.” The focus remains on the “Qamil Hoxha” street.
