This is the text that the Vuçiqi family wanted to remove from the internet at all costs – It didn’t work

The Basic Court of Podgorica dismissed a lawsuit brought by Andrej Vučić against the daily newspaper “Vijesti,” its chief editor, a black chronicle editor, and a journalist. The court ruled that publishing screenshots from the “Sky” application, which referenced the brother of the Serbian president, constituted material of public interest. According to reports from the Croatian newspaper “Jutarnji list,” the court determined that Mr.

Vučić is a public figure and an active participant in Serbian political life. Consequently, the court concluded that he must endure a higher degree of criticism and public scrutiny compared to private citizens. In his lawsuit, Vučić was seeking 5,000 euros in damages for alleged defamation of honor, reputation, and dignity.

He also demanded the removal of a specific article titled “Zvonko and Andrej celebrated.”

The ruling by the court suggests that the media’s publication of the information was justified under the principle of public interest. The decision affirms that public figures face a reduced expectation of privacy when their lives and activities are subjects of public discourse by the press.
