The Kosovo Police successfully finalized three extradition orders and the transfer of convicted individuals to Kosovo. This operation involved close collaboration with international and local justice institutions, enabling the movement of individuals sought by multiple countries. On March 16th, a Kosovar citizen, identified as S.S., was transferred from Italy.
Previously, he had been sentenced to serious crimes involving narcotics and had already served a portion of his sentence in Italy. Upon his return to Kosovo, he immediately handed himself over to the Kosovo Correctional Service to complete the remaining 16 years and 4 months of his incarceration. Subsequent to this, two further extraditions took place on March 18th.
The Kosovar citizen L.V. was brought over from Albania. These coordinated efforts demonstrate the continued commitment of the Kosovo Police to upholding justice and facilitating the return of individuals to face legal proceedings.
The successful completion of these three transfer operations highlights the importance of international cooperation in ensuring accountability.
