Two instances of family violence have occurred, with children as victims – a daughter was attacked by her father in Shtërpcë, and a son was attacked in Pejë.

The Kosovo Police has recently reported two concerning instances of domestic violence. These incidents occurred in Shtrepce and Peja, highlighting a serious issue within the region. In both cases, children were unfortunately the victims of family abuse.

The first incident, detailed in a police report dated 20.03.2026 at 17:50, took place in Shtrepce. A Kosovar female was physically assaulted by her suspected male parent, a Kosovar male. Following the event, the victim received immediate medical attention, and the prosecutor initiated standard investigative procedures.

Subsequently, on 20.03.2026 at 13:30, a second incident occurred in Peja. A Kosovar male suspect was apprehended after a verbal argument escalated into a physical assault against his son. The child received necessary medical care, and the suspect was released under regular procedure following interrogation by the prosecutor.

These two cases underscore the ongoing need for vigilance and support within the Kosovar community. The police continue to investigate these instances of family violence, ensuring appropriate action is taken to protect vulnerable individuals. /Telegrafi/ Zezë Lajme Lo
