Kosovo is experiencing a surge in the influx of vehicles. Recent reports from Gazeta Express, dated March 17, 2026, at 10:16, detail a substantial increase in vehicle imports throughout 2025. Over 44,000 automobiles were brought into Kosovo from overseas, marking a considerable rise in trade.
The critical aspect of this trend is that the vast majority of these imported vehicles are used cars, accounting for roughly 90 percent of the total number. Vehicles consistently represent Kosovo’s most frequently imported goods, demonstrating a steady and significant annual growth. In 2025, the value of car imports reached approximately 651 million euros, representing a notable increase of over 16 percent compared to 2024.
Data obtained from Open Data – Kosovo Customs, and processed by the AutoNet online platform, reveals that 44,207 cars were imported in 2025, a jump from the 37,954 vehicles brought in the preceding year. This pattern of importing cars into Kosovo continues, highlighting a prominent trend within the nation’s economy.
