We withdrew the Law on jurisprudence in Albanian, the government’s aim is to deny the Law on the use of languages.

Rina Ajdari announced the withdrawal of the Law on Jurisprudence in Albanian, a move intended to counter the Law on the Use of Languages proposed by Gazeta Express on March 24, 2026, at 11:34. Albanian opposition deputies had initiated the proposed law, suggesting that jurisprudence testing should be offered in the national language. According to Rina Ajdari from BDI, speaking to Portalb.mk, the focus should solely be on applying the Law on the Use of Languages.

She expressed a lack of confidence that the government would address the situation to ensure jurisprudence testing is available in Albanian. Commenting on Prime Minister Hristjan Mickoski’s statements, BDI deputy Rina Ajdari stated that the decision to withdraw the proposed law was made due to what she perceived as the government’s underlying objective. She believes the government’s aim isn’t genuine jurisprudence, but rather a deliberate attempt to deny the existing Law on the Use of Languages.

This action underscores the ongoing dispute surrounding language accessibility within the legal system.
