The Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior have affirmed that the Law on Foreigners is advancing smoothly in its execution. Nevertheless, four days following its passage, relevant institutions have yet to release data concerning the quantity of illicit documents originating from Serbian parallel organizations that have been transformed into legitimate documents of the Republic of Kosovo. “We are essentially enacting a law from a period prior to 13 years,” declared Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
“And finally, this law is being implemented.”
Kurti emphasized that the Law on Foreigners has already been formulated, pending only logistical considerations. The Government is currently in the process of finalizing the legislation. Despite conveying a positive outlook on the law’s implementation, he refrained from offering specific information regarding the conversion of these illegal documents.
He communicated to reporters that these movements would integrate the remaining two illicit components – the system. The minister highlighted the significance of this legal advancement, asserting its completion. The focus remains on ensuring the proper handling of all documents and the transition to a unified system, as outlined within the new law.
The minister stated that the process is progressing well.
