113 Motorcycle Drivers Sanctioned in Skopje Enforcement Operation

Yesterday, the Ministry of Interior (MPB) announced the results of an enforcement operation conducted by the State Border Police (SPB) Skopje, leading to the sanctioning of 113 motorcycle drivers. The operation, carried out within the city of Skopje, aimed to address traffic violations committed by motorcycle, tricycle, quadricycle, and motorcycle drivers. A total of 113 drivers were sanctioned during the period of 02.05.2026, between 12:00 and 20:00.

Forty-five drivers were penalized for failing to wear helmets, a standard requirement for road users. Furthermore, one individual faced detention due to charges of reckless driving. Additional sanctions included four drivers being penalized for operating a motorcycle with an unsuitable category.

Seventeen drivers were issued warnings for minor infractions. The Road Traffic Safety Unit of SPB Skopje carried out the intensified control to address violations. The MPB emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to ensure road safety within the Skopje area.

The operation highlights ongoing efforts to maintain order and security for all road users.
