Hospitals and clinics in Pejë have suspended operations and experienced a significant decrease in patient numbers during the first quarter, according to project implementation results. A total of 26% fewer patients are being served compared to the previous quarter. Within the hospital, patient numbers declined by 14% over the first four months, totaling 198 patients.
During this period, 3,117 specialist visits were recorded, alongside 276 new patient registrations. Diagnostic and laboratory services also saw a reduction, with 1,734 patients receiving care and 7,924 examinations conducted. A total of 79 surgical procedures were performed, and 265 dialysis treatments were administered.
Mammography services were utilized by 91 patients, resulting in 10 completed mamograms. Data indicates a 12% decrease in dialysis treatments over the first four months of the project’s implementation.
