Belgian Diplomat Urges Stability in Kosovo Following Talks with Kosovan Counterpart

PRISTINA – Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot emphasized the need for political stability in Kosovo during a visit on Thursday, seeking to de-escalate tensions in the region and discourage unilateral actions. Following a meeting with Kosovan Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca, Prévot expressed concern over the ongoing political crisis, noting its persistence from the previous year. He stated that the repeated extensions of Kosovo’s institutions were “disappointing.”

Prévot reaffirmed Belgium’s strong political support for Kosovo and voiced a desire for a swift stabilization of the country’s institutions.

He urged for a commitment to long-term engagement with the nation. The discussions centered on the importance of maintaining a stable political environment within Kosovo.
