Kosovo Judo Team Concludes Successful European Championships in Tbilisi
Tbilisi, Georgia – Kosovo’s judo team returned from the European Championships for youth in Tbilisi with notable achievements, reflecting the ongoing strength of the sport within the country. Coach Driton Kuka assessed the team’s performance, emphasizing the continued success of Kosovo judo following a significant showing. Distria Krasniqi was a standout performer, securing the 11th European gold medal for Kosovo.
This victory extends a 14-year tradition of success, with the team accumulating over 30 medals to date. Coach Driton Kuka noted Krasniqi’s accomplishment as a pivotal moment for the program. Akili also demonstrated strong performance, achieving three victories and one defeat, ultimately placing fifth.
Additionally, Dardani and Fatjona advanced to the top 16 of the competition. Erza’s performance is also noted. The results underscore the dedication and skill of the Kosovo judo athletes, continuing to establish a strong presence on the European stage.
