Kavadar – Two women, aged 62 and 56, sought medical attention at the Rapid Response Service in Kavadar after reporting symptoms potentially linked to leftover Easter eggs. The incident prompted a precautionary response from local medical professionals. One of the women was admitted to a ward at the Kavadar hospital for further observation and treatment.
According to Dr. Anton Parakeov, head of the Rapid Response Service, the woman’s condition warranted hospital care. Following several hours of monitoring, the second woman requested discharge, stating she felt her symptoms had subsided.
Dr. Parakeov confirmed this information to AIM, emphasizing the importance of caution regarding consumption of leftover food. Ratko Grkov, a doctor working the shift at the rapid service, reported receiving additional patients with similar mild symptoms, all indicating prior consumption of Easter eggs.
