Malisheva Municipality Continues Waste Prevention Efforts, Highlighting Citizen Cooperation

The Malisheva Municipality’s Inspection Directorate is maintaining ongoing operations to deter waste dumping in public areas, citing positive results driven by citizen engagement. According to Inspectorate Director Jakup Gashi, the initiative is successfully leveraging reports from residents to address environmental pollution. The Inspectorate has been utilizing citizen reports to identify and subsequently penalize instances of illegal waste disposal.

Recently, a mandatory fine of 200 euros was issued to a resident of Llapçeva for dumping waste in a public space within the village of Dragobil. “The Municipal Inspection thanks the citizens for their cooperation and remains committed to enforcing the law and preserving a clean environment for everyone,” stated Gashi. He underscored the importance of continued collaboration between municipal authorities and the community.

Gashi emphasized that municipal institutions will continue to monitor and address violations, working to maintain public spaces free from waste. The ongoing efforts reflect a dedication to upholding environmental standards within the municipality.
