Podujevë Launches Second Phase of Agricultural Subsidy Program
The Municipality of Podujevë has commenced the second phase of its “Support with Subsidies” project, a program dedicated to bolstering the local agricultural sector and supporting farmers within the municipality. This initiative continues to provide financial assistance to agricultural producers. Approximately 70 subsidies are being distributed during this phase, building upon the 56 already provided in the first phase of the project.
The “Support with Subsidies” program, in total, encompasses 162 beneficiaries across Podujevë. Municipal officials anticipate further phases will distribute the remaining subsidies to complete the program’s goals. Director of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Behram Latifi, was present at the distribution event.
He expressed his best wishes to the beneficiary farmers and highlighted the project’s significance as a sustained commitment from the Municipality of Podujevë to the agricultural sector. Local authorities believe these types of projects positively influence the agricultural landscape of Podujevë. The ongoing distribution of subsidies represents a key element in the municipality’s strategy to strengthen the region’s farming community.
