LSDM’s Spasovski Expresses Concerns Over Dissolution Draft Law
Oliver Spasovski, a deputy from the LSDM party, responded today to the draft law proposing the dissolution of the current technical government, asserting that its expedited approval process contradicts established principles and the intended reform agenda. Spasovski stated that the proposed legal solution deviates significantly from the model utilized in the adoption of the Law on the Government. The LSDM deputy emphasized that the current proposal disregards the agreed-upon approach between political parties.
He highlighted that the solution concerning electoral cycles and the establishment of the technical government stemmed from a political agreement involving the four largest parties, supported by a guarantee from the international community. Initially, this arrangement was limited to the 2016 elections. Furthermore, Spasovski pointed to a 2018 re-approval of the same solution, facilitated by a request from the State Election Commission – Government, and lacking a defined time limit, effectively extending its validity.
The deputy’s comments reflect a significant concern regarding the procedural changes impacting the ongoing technical government.
