Nehat Geci Claims Fatos Geci Received Speech Draft from Ilir Kërçeli
Skenderaj, April 23, 2026 – Nehat Geci, brother of Gani Geci, has made a significant claim regarding the authorship of a speech delivered by Fatos Geci. According to Geci, Fatos Geci personally informed him that Ilir Kërçeli, a member of the Vetëvendosje (VV) party, drafted the speech. Speaking on April 23rd, Nehat Geci stated that the revelation occurred around 13:50 while he was meeting with his nephews, Artonin Geci and Festimin, at a cafe in Skenderaj.
During a phone call with Fatos Geci, Nehat Geci alleges Fatos Geci showed him the speech’s origin. “Fatos Geci personally indicated to me that the speech he delivered in Parliament was written by Ilir Kërçeli,” Geci explained. “I do not have prior knowledge of Mr.
Kërçeli.”
Following this conversation, Geci undertook a brief inquiry into Kërçeli’s identity, leading him to a photograph which he presented as evidence supporting his account. The speech in question advocated for the permanent imprisonment of Hashim Thaçi. This claim comes from Nehat Geci, who relayed the information directly from Fatos Geci.
