Worker Dies Following Fall in Gjakovë
Gjakovë – A man died after falling from a building on ‘Pjetër Bogdan’ street in Gjakovë on April 23, 2026. The incident occurred around 17:00 local time. Vlera Krasniqi, spokesperson for the Kosovo Police’s Gjakovë region, confirmed the event.
“Police were notified that a man, of adult age, had fallen from a high building while working on ‘Pjetër Bogdani’ street in Gjakovë,” Krasniqi stated. Immediate response included police units and an emergency medical team. Upon arrival, the victim was pronounced dead.
The state prosecutor also attended the scene to oversee the investigation. Currently, a person is being questioned in connection with the incident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall.
