Minister Hoxha Highlights High-Value Agriculture’s Role in Environmental Protection

Radomir, North Macedonia – Minister of Environmental Protection, Living Environment and Spatial Planning, Muamet Hoxha, participated in the event “High-Value Agriculture and its Importance for Biodiversity and the Admission Process to the EU,” held with support from the Swedish Environmental Agency and the Municipality of Radovish. During his address, Hoxha underscored the significance of high-value agricultural practices as a key instrument for achieving equilibrium between human activity and the natural environment, while simultaneously contributing to biodiversity preservation. He stated that the Ministry is actively engaged in aligning with European standards concerning environmental protection.

Hoxha detailed ongoing state initiatives, including the implementation of relevant legislation, the development of the “Nature 2000” network, and adherence to directives pertaining to habitats and bird conservation. These efforts represent a core component of a broader plan focused on strengthening the nation’s environmental framework. The Minister emphasized the importance of these measures in supporting North Macedonia’s progress toward EU accession.
