New Board of Directors for Radio Television of Kosovo Selected Following Initial Vote
Kosovo’s Parliament elected six individuals to the new Board of Directors for Radio Television of Kosovo during a session held today. A total of 105 deputies were present, with three blank votes rendered invalid. The election process resulted in Valmirë Thaçi receiving 69 votes, Flokart Aliu securing 58 votes, and Gëzim Brahaj gaining 56 votes.
Xheraldina Cërnobregu garnered 60 votes, while Ilirjan Himaj and Fatmir Podrimaj each received 56 votes. Faton Mustafa received 16 votes. The election saw a significant number of votes cast, but ultimately, no candidates from the Serbian community or minority groups achieved sufficient support to join the board.
Anita Toçi received 33 votes, Lulzim Beqiri 31, and Adriana Sejda 36. Avni Zuka received 3 votes, and Arta Jashari received 13. Due to the lack of representation for minority communities, a re-election is scheduled.
The newly appointed members represent the outcome of the initial votes within the Kosovo Parliament. This outcome highlights the ongoing efforts to ensure diverse representation within Kosovo’s media landscape.
