Acting President Haxhiu to Meet with Political Parties on Election Date

Acting President Albulena Haxhiu will convene with Kosovo’s political parties today at 15:00 to discuss the scheduling of upcoming elections. The consultative meeting aims to establish a definitive date for the early parliamentary vote. The announcement follows a meeting yesterday between Haxhiu and the head of the Central Election Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi.

Radoniqi indicated that preparations for the elections are a complex and time-consuming process. He stated that June 7th is currently considered the most probable date for the election’s holding. Following the meeting with the acting president, Radoniqi clarified that the issue of the budget specifically allocated for the elections had not yet been formally addressed by the Central Election Commission.

The discussions will involve key political parties as Kosovo seeks to finalize the timeline for democratic processes. The meeting represents a crucial step in determining the date of the elections, a process overseen by the Central Election Commission and led by Acting President Haxhiu.
