Crocodile Disrupts Stay at Zimbabwean Hotel
A crocodile caused a stir at the A’Zambezi River Lodge, a hotel in Zimbabwe, earlier this week. The incident, captured on video, involved a large reptile entering the property and navigating its interior. According to reports, the crocodile, measuring approximately 3.9 meters (13 feet) in length, initially entered the A’Zambezi River, which borders the hotel.
It then proceeded towards the reception area and subsequently moved towards the hotel’s kitchen. Footage shows the animal slithering into the reception, prompting a lighthearted response from the hotel staff. “We had an early morning visit from an unexpected guest,” the hotel reportedly stated.
Local authorities swiftly responded to the situation and successfully captured the crocodile. The animal was then safely returned to its natural habitat. The incident highlights the proximity of wildlife to the hotel’s location, a key feature of the A’Zambezi River Lodge, which promotes its “ambiance of varied African wildlife.” The event underscores the importance of maintaining a safe distance from wildlife in Zimbabwe.
