Kosovo’s Mikse Marciale Federation Makes Historic European MMA Debut
The Mikse Marciale Arts Federation of Kosovo (FAMMK) achieved a significant milestone for the nation’s sporting landscape, participating in the European Mixed Martial Arts Championship for the first time. The event, organized by the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA), took place in Loutraki, Greece, from April 28th to May 2nd, 2026, drawing over 250 athletes from across Europe. This championship showcased a range of top mixed martial arts competitors from the continent.
Kosovo’s involvement marked a historic step in the development of mixed martial arts within the country and represented a key moment for the international recognition of Kosovo’s athletes. A delegation of 10 athletes, comprised of 5 junior and 5 senior competitors, represented Kosovo.
